Pastel chalks sound fun to experiment with! I’ve never used them, sadly.
There are different ways to make art; it’s not always necessary to be able to draw. Some painters have a great intuition for color, form or patterns and make amazing abstract artworks. If you feel like trying again, you could maybe try something like this? Even if other people fail to appreciate it, personal artistic work is valuable because it’s what you created from your intuition and feelings.
