I think with me it's blood sugar. It's low in the morning so I've learned to eat something as soon as I get up. As my blood sugar rises, I feel happier. I eat some food, then do some writing or work, then do the other tasks of the day.
I hadn't thought of it as creating to get over morning depression, I like that idea!
